The admin dashboard provides a real-time overview of your workforce. At a glance, you can see:

Present Today

Who's clocked in now

Late Arrivals

Employees who clocked in late

Approvals waiting for you

Employee Management

The Employees page is your central hub for managing your workforce.

Adding New Employees

  • Email Invite: Send an invitation email with a link to create their account
  • Manual Create: Create their account directly and share credentials
  • CSV Import: Bulk upload employee data from a spreadsheet

Employee Profiles

Each employee profile contains:

  • Personal information (name, email, phone)
  • Department and role assignment
  • Compensation and cost tracking (optional)
  • Leave balances and history
  • Time tracking records

Schedule Management

Create and manage work schedules with our visual drag-and-drop interface.

Creating Shifts

  1. Navigate to the Schedules page
  2. Click on a day/employee cell
  3. Set start and end times
  4. Add breaks if needed
  5. Save the shift

Shift Templates

Save common shift patterns as templates. For example:

  • Morning Shift: 6:00 - 14:00
  • Day Shift: 9:00 - 17:00
  • Evening Shift: 14:00 - 22:00
💡 Tip: Use the "Copy Week" feature to quickly duplicate a week's schedule to the following weeks.

Leave Approvals

Review and manage leave requests from the Leave page.

Approval Workflow

  1. Employee submits a leave request
  2. You receive a notification
  3. Review the request details and team calendar
  4. Approve or reject with optional comments
  5. Employee is notified of the decision

Leave Types

Configure custom leave types in Admin Settings:

  • Annual Leave (vacation)
  • Sick Leave
  • Personal Days
  • Parental Leave
  • Unpaid Leave

Reports & Analytics

Access detailed reports on attendance, punctuality, and costs.

Available Reports

  • Attendance Report: Clock in/out times by employee and date
  • Punctuality Report: Late arrivals and early departures
  • Leave Report: Leave taken by type and employee
  • Cost Report: Labor costs by department and period
  • Overtime Report: Extra hours worked

Export Options

Export any report as PDF (branded) or CSV for further analysis in Excel.

Admin Settings

Configure system-wide settings from Admin Settings:

  • Company Profile: Logo, address, timezone
  • Clock-in Rules: GPS tolerance, time windows, grace periods
  • Overtime Rules: Daily/weekly limits, multipliers
  • Departments: Create and manage departments
  • Notifications: Configure email and push notifications
  • Subscription: Manage your HourGlass plan
